    • It’s very distinctive, isn’t it, standing out overlooking the city. I took some shots including a bit of the city in the background, but decided that the visual interest of the sky with the silhouette of the snag outlined against it made a strong image all by itself.

      • It is and after that hike we started bringing more then our iphone with us because we couldn’t capture the beauty the tree offered. But again you really did!

  1. Thanks, Kathy. I used an Olympus XZ-1 to capture this image. Mostly, I like to shoot in RAW and later develop the digital negative in Lightroom. Congrats on your progress so far. Your blog is very inspiring.
